ABOUT

The person behind OWN.

MADE BY HAND. MADE BY ME.

OWN is a small independent creative brand created by me. Everything you find here begins with an idea and is made by hand — from the first sketch to the finished piece.

I work with different materials and techniques: I design and sew linen and cotton textiles, shape and hand-paint ceramic beads, create leather pieces, and paint original artworks in oils. I also turn my paintings into small paper pieces, such as art postcards.

I like learning new techniques and giving myself the freedom to explore different forms of making. What connects everything I create is the same approach: I want each piece to be thoughtful, useful or beautiful — and, whenever possible, both.

For my textile and leather pieces, I pay particular attention to how they work in real life. I make prototypes, use them myself and refine the details until they feel right. With my art and ceramic pieces, I enjoy the slower, more intuitive side of creating — working with my hands, colour and texture.

OWN is a collection of things I genuinely enjoy making and would be happy to have in my own life.

MORE THAN TEXTILES
Textiles are where OWN began, but my hands have never wanted to work with just one material.
Today, I also work with leather, shape and paint ceramic beads by hand, and create original oil paintings and postcards.
TEXTILES
Linen & cotton for home, travel and everyday life.
LEATHER
Small leather pieces made to be used and carried.
CERAMICS
Hand-shaped and hand-painted ceramic beads, each one slightly different.
ART
Original oil paintings and small paper pieces.
FROM IDEA TO REAL LIFE
I don't make things just to put them in a shop. I make them to live with them first.
Every new design starts as a prototype. I use it in real life — carrying it, filling it, washing it, opening it, closing it and simply seeing how it works as part of everyday life.

Along the way, I notice what works and what doesn't. A pocket may need to move. A strap may need to be longer. A shape may need to change. I refine the design until it feels right. Only then does it become part of OWN.

If I wouldn't want to use it myself, it doesn't belong in OWN.
MATERIALS MATTER

I work with natural materials — linen, cotton, leather and ceramics — and with oil paint for my artwork. I choose each material for its character, texture and ability to become more beautiful with time.
